At some point during his life with Nafse following their ascension, Akili found himself in a new world, and in a slightly different form, but with no memories of where he had came from or even what he was, aside from his name, and the rapid discovery that there didn't seem to be a 'his own kind' living in this world. While there were many other humanoid-appearing animals (described as the fae-touched, meaning mortals touched by higher powers and usually given animal traits in the process), none were exactly like him.
Akili was soon taken to the Tower of the Mages, for he also quickly learned he had a formidable, yet uncontrolled access over magic. This ability was not nearly so rare as him, and he was placed in the Tower's Basement, where along with the other Chaos Mages - as the ability was termed - he could gain some control over his abilities... at least to the extent of not immediately harming himself and those around him, as was unfortunately too common.

Eventually completing his training, he left the Tower and wandered for a short while, almost immediately becoming caught up in a life-threatening quest. It was, in fact, a game played by the Gods (and Goddesses) of Annor, although that was not well-known by anyone, including those involved in the Crystal Quest, as it was named: Five crystals of different colors and powers, scattered around the world, with only a rather obscure riddle to guide them. Furthermore, there were Rules: There were four other parties involved in the same search, and each party could only have five members - knowledge of the Quest automatically made them a member, and if more than five in a party knew, one member would randomly be removed. Also, the riddle suggested that failing in the Quest would also be fatal.
Akili met up with one such party in the city of Seth, which is when his life became full of incident.
<Crystal Quest Log Here>
(This and all following events in Annor take place in a Dungeons & Dragons environment, and the sheer scale of the undertaking was not originally anticipated by myself. Therefore, several bits of the game have been lost to history, although an attempt will eventually be made to piece together what all the players remember, and likely making up the rest.)
Upon their successful completion of the Crystal Quest, Kenlow flew off to Vortex shortly after losing his memory, with the aid of Eldar and Akili, in an attempt to head off what could have been a catastrophe. Once the residual effects of the game had been handled, the Gods realized they had a serious problem on their hands, having neglected current events in their focus on the conclusion of the Quest. Akili and Sarai were promptly elected to handle this problem, along with a pair of new characters they had never seen before, but had also been chosen by the Gods for this quest: to discover why contact with the Tower of the Watchers had been lost, the discovery of huge armies invading the provinces of Annor from the neighboring world of Slavaak and its god Koron... and the return of Matro, the powerful would-be god that had been driven off, but not permanently defeated, in ages past. This story is not yet completed, but can be followed below.

If you have read this far, then you may also be interested to know of another section that may be added in the future: the full story of how Akili came to the world of Annor, why he lost his memory, and how both he and Saranya were responsible for it.
As it has not yet been written, there is little more to add, as many parts are still subject to change.
